She married (1) Nathaniel Bliss, age 23, son of Thomas Bliss and Margaret Hulins, on 30 November 1646 in Springfield, Mass..² She married (2) Thomas Gilbert, age 43, son of Thomas Gilbert and Elizabeth Bennett, on 31 July 1655.³ She married (3) Samuel Marshfield, son of Thomas Marshfield and Mercy (__?__), on 28 December 1664 in Springfield, Mass..³ She died on 4 February 1711/12 in Springfield, Mass., at age 86 years.

He married, at age 25, Cicely Penny, age 21, daughter of Henry Penny and Jane (__?__), on 9 February 1623/24 in Paignton, Devonshire.¹ He died on 11 November 1675 in Springfield, Mass., at age 77.²

     Samuel Chapin came to New England probably after Oct. 1637 but no later than 1639, when he is known to have been in Roxbury, Mass. He took the freeman's oath in Boston on 2 June 1641 and lived for a time in Dorchester, where he was a deacon of the 1st Congregational Church. Roxbury Massachusetts records show him as owner of 24 acres with 8 people living in his household, at some point between 1639 and 1643. He was one of the founders, and an original proprietor, of Springfield, Massachusetts, coming there in 1642. He had a close relationship with Mr. Pynchon, the founder of Springfield, and was one of the leading members of the town of Springfield. He was a distinguished man in church and state. He was deacon of the Springfield church, elected in 1649, and employed to conduct services part of the time in 1656-57 when there was no minister in town. In 1652, Samuel Chapin was appointed one of the magistrates of Springfield, and in 1654 his commission was extended indefinitely. He was also much employed in other public business. A useful and highly esteemed man, the statue of "The Puritan", which honors Deacon Samuel Chapin, was created by Agustus St. Gaudens, one of the leading sculptors of the nineteenth century, and now stands in front of the Springfield Public Library.

She married, at age 21, Deacon Samuel Chapin, age 25, son of John Chapin and Phillipe Easton, on 9 February 1623/24 in Paignton, Devonshire.² She died on 8 February 1682/83 in Springfield, Mass., at age 80.³

     Ephriam Colton was born on 9 April 1648 in Longmeadow, Mass.. He was the son of George Colton and Deborah Gardner. He married, at age 22, Mary Drake, age 20, daughter of Sergt. Job Drake and Mary Wolcott, on 17 November 1670. He married, at age 36, Esther Marshfield, age 17, daughter of Samuel Marshfield and Catharine Chapin, on 26 March 1685 in Longmeadow, Mass.. He died on 14 May 1713 in Enfield, Hartford Co., Conn., at age 65.
