Samuel Marshall and Mary Wilton, after 1717. She died on 26 February 1762 at age 91.

Ens. Joshua Holcomb was born on 18 September 1672 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn..1 He was the son of Joshua Holcomb and Ruth Sherwood. He married (1) Hannah Carrington, daughter of John Carrington, in 1694.2 He married (2) Mary Hoskins, daughter of Robert Hoskins and Mary Gillett, in 1709.1 He died on 10 February 1727/28 in Simsbury, Hartford Co., Conn., at age 55.3
Military Service: An Ensign in the militia.
Joshua married his first wife, Hannah Carrington, about 1694. Hannah died fourteen years later at the age of 33 leaving Joshua with seven young children. The following year Joshua married Mary Hoskins with whom he had at least nine more children. He served as a representative from Simsbury in the General Court of Connecticut, and also as an Ensign in the local militia. When he died in 1728 at the age of 55, he left his 38 year old wife with about ten children at home ranging in age from one year and up. How long Mary survived is not recorded, however, she was still alive in 1740.
Joshua signed his will and named thirteen of his children, along with his widow, Mary. He specified that daughters "Thankfull, Experience, Hannah, Elener" were daughters of his first wife, Hannah.

He married, at age 30, Elizabeth Adams, age 38, daughter of Samuel Adams and Elizabeth Hill, in September 1725. He died on 27 September 1758 in Simsbury, Hartford Co., Conn., at age 63.

Joshua Holcomb III was born on 18 September 1697 in Simsbury, Hartford Co., Conn.. He was the son of Ens. Joshua Holcomb and Hannah Carrington. He was baptized on 17 April 1698. He married, at age 23, Mary Griffin, age 21, daughter of Thomas Griffin and Elizabeth Welton, on 28 October 1720 in Simsbury, Hartford Co., Conn.. He died in November 1772 in Simsbury, Hartford Co., Conn., at age 75.

She married, at age 19, Joseph Barnes, age 18, son of Joseph Barnes and Abigail Gibbs, on 12 May 1720 in Farmington, Hartford Co., Conn.. She died after April 1759 when she is named in the will of her brother Caleb.
