     John Rice was born on 21 May 1701 in Simsbury, Hartford Co., Conn.. He was the son of Peter Rice and Mary Ford. He married, at age 29, Esther Matson, age 26, daughter of John Matson and Mary Adams, on 11 February 1730/31 in Simsbury, Hartford Co., Conn..

     Capt. Nathaniel Thomas was born in 1606 in England. He married Mary (__?__).

     Elizabeth Gillett was born on 31 May 1707 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn.. She was the daughter of Cornelius Gillett and Deborah Rowell. She married John Matson Jr., son of John Matson and Mary Adams.

     Patrick Canty married Catherine (__?__).
     

     Patrick Canty and his wife, Catherine, are listed as the parents of Bridget (Canty) Reynolds in the burial register at St. Agnes Cemetery, in Utica NY, where Bridget was buried in 1918. I presume that Patrick and his wife Catherine were born and died in Ireland. However, a statement in the obituary of their daughter Bridget states that Bridget came to this country from Ireland "when a child". While I have found that information contained in obituaries often contains errors, this does indicate a possibility that Patrick and Catherine may have emigrated to America, and possibly Westmorland, where their daughter resided and raised her family. Evidence contrary to this possibility is the obituary of Bridget's husband, Edward Reynolds, which states that he came to this country "from Ireland with his wife when a young man". I have no indication as yet as to where in Ireland this family originated.

     Amanda Frost was born circa 1803. She was the daughter of Samuel Frost and Ruth Merriman. She married William T. Landcraft, son of George Landcraft and Mary Day. She died on 3 February 1888.

     Elijah Rose was born on 27 February 1756 in Granville, Hampden Co., Mass.. He was the son of John Rose and Ruth Holcomb. He married, at age 20, Rebecca Miller, age 17 on 9 January 1777. He died on 28 November 1815 in Canandaigua, Ontario, New York, at age 59.

     Rebecca Miller was born on 23 March 1759 in Granville, Hampden Co., Mass.. She married, at age 17, Elijah Rose, age 20, son of John Rose and Ruth Holcomb, on 9 January 1777. She died before February 1816 in Canandaigua, Ontario, New York.

     Capt. Worthy Thrall was born on 27 May 1769. He was the son of Capt. Samuel Thrall and Lucy Winchell. He married Sarah Phelps. He died on 15 July 1816 in East Granby, Hartford Co., Conn., at age 47.¹ He was buried in East Granby cemetery.

     Capt. Abel Forward was born on 4 November 1710 in Belchertown, Mass.. He was the son of Samuel Forward and Deborah Moore. He married Hannah Phelps before 1737. He died in 1766.

     Hannah Phelps was born on 7 June 1717 in Turkey Hills, now, East Granby, Hartford Co., Conn.. She married Capt. Abel Forward, son of Samuel Forward and Deborah Moore, before 1737. She died on 17 April 1790 in East Granby, Hartford Co., Conn., at age 72.

     Benajah Holcomb II was born on 9 September 1737 in Simsbury, Hartford Co., Conn.. He was the son of Joshua Holcomb III and Mary Griffin. He married, at age 25, Lydia Forward, age 16, daughter of Capt. Abel Forward and Hannah Phelps, on 5 August 1763 in Belchertown, Hampshire, Mass.. He died on 2 January 1829 at age 91.

     Lydia Forward was born on 23 October 1746 in Hartford Co., Conn.. She was the daughter of Capt. Abel Forward and Hannah Phelps. She married, at age 16, Benajah Holcomb II, age 25, son of Joshua Holcomb III and Mary Griffin, on 5 August 1763 in Belchertown, Hampshire, Mass.. She died on 8 August 1824 at age 77.
