     Rose Porter was baptized on 24 June 1633 in Felsted, co. Essex, England. She was the daughter of John Porter and Anna White. She died in 1649 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn., at age 16.

     Samuel Grant was born on 12 November 1631 in Dorchester, Suffolk Co., Mass.. He was the son of Matthew Grant and Priscilla (__?__). He married, at age 26, Mary Porter, age 20, daughter of John Porter and Anna White, on 26 May 1658 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn.. He died on 10 September 1718 in E. Windsor Hill, Hartford Co., Conn., at age 86.

     Mary Porter was baptized on 1 October 1637 in Felsted, co. Essex, England. She was the daughter of John Porter and Anna White. She married, at age 20, Samuel Grant, age 26, son of Matthew Grant and Priscilla (__?__), on 26 May 1658 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn.. She died on 16 December 1681 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn., at age 44.

     Nathaniel Porter was born on 19 July 1640 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn.. He was the son of John Porter and Anna White. He married (1) Hannah Groves, of Stratford, daughter of Philip Groves and Anna (__?__), in 1664. He married (2) Elizabeth Groves, sister of his first wife, daughter of Philip Groves and Anna (__?__), in 1673. He died in January 1679/80 at age 39.

     Hannah Porter was born on 4 September 1642 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn.. She was the daughter of John Porter and Anna White. She married, at age 20, Deacon John Coleman, son of Thomas Coleman, on 29 May 1663 in Hadley, Hampshire Co., Mass.. She died on 19 September 1677 in Deerfield, Franklin Co., Mass., at age 35, she and her infant daughter were killed by Indians in a raid on Deerfield.

     Anna White was baptized on 13 July 1600 in Shalford, co. Essex, England.³ She was the daughter of Robert White and Bridget Allgar.^1,2 She married, at age 20, John Porter, age 26, son of John Porter and Sybil Vessey, on 18 October 1620 in All Saints Church, Messing, co. Essex, England.⁴ She died in July 1647 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn..⁵

     Samuel Filley was born on 24 September 1643 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn.. He was the son of William Filley and Margaret Cockney. He married, at age 20, Anna Gillett, age 23, daughter of Jonathan Gillett and Mary Dolbaire, on 29 October 1663 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn.. He died on 4 January 1711/12 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn., at age 68.

     John Filley was born on 15 December 1645 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn.. He was the son of William Filley and Margaret Cockney. He married, at age 35, Abigail Dibble, daughter of Abraham Dibble and Lydia Teffe, on 1 February 1681. He died in 1690 in Suffield, Hartford Co., Conn..

     Deborah Filley was born on 21 March 1660/61 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn.. She was the daughter of William Filley and Margaret Cockney. She married, at age 25, John Sacket, age 26, son of John Sacket and Abigail Hannum, on 1 December 1686 in Westfield, Hampshire (Hampden a. 1812), Mass.. She died on 20 November 1701 in Westfield, Hampden Co., Mass., at age 40.

     William Filley was born on 7 March 1664/65 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn.. He was the son of William Filley and Margaret Cockney. He married Elizabeth (__?__). He died in 1707 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn., at age 41 years leaving no issue.

     Elizabeth Hull was baptized on 16 October 1625 in Crewkerne, Somerset, England. She was the daughter of George Hull and Thomasene Michell. She married, at age 21, Samuel Gaylord, age 26, son of Deacon William Gaylord and (__?__) (__?__), on 4 December 1646 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn.. She died on 2 May 1680 at age 54.

     Hanna Williams was the daughter of John Williams and Mary Burley. She married Nathaniel Bancroft, age 24, son of John Bancroft and Hannah Duper, on 26 December 1677; Windsor, CT.

     Sarah Stiles was born on 12 September 1661 in Springfield, Mass.. She was the daughter of John Stiles and Rachel (__?__). She married, at age 19, Ephraim Bancroft, age 24, son of John Bancroft and Hannah Duper, on 1 May 1681; Windsor, CT.

     Ruth Crow was the daughter of John Crow and Elizabeth Goodwin. She married William Gaylord, age 21, son of William Gaylord Jr. and Ann Porter, on 21 December 1671.

     Abraham Randall was the son of Philip Randall and Joan (__?__). He married (1) Mary Ware on 8 December 1640 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn.. He married (2) Elizabeth (__?__) (widow of John Kirby of Middletown) on 27 October 1681 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn.. He died on 21 August 1690 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn., Abraham left no issue, leaving his estate to the children of his brother-in-law, George Phelps.

     Philip Randall was the son of Philip Randall and Joan (__?__). He was buried on 26 September 1648 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn., prob. unmarried.

     Mary Ware married (1) Abraham Randall, son of Philip Randall and Joan (__?__), on 8 December 1640 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn.. She died in 1677.

     Elizabeth (__?__) married (2) Abraham Randall, son of Philip Randall and Joan (__?__), on 27 October 1681 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn.; (widow of John Kirby of Middletown).

     Joan (__?__) was born circa 1578 in England (age at death).¹ She married Philip Randall in England. She died on 24 August 1665 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Conn..²

     Robert White married Bridget Allgar, age 23, daughter of William Allgar, on 24 June 1585 in Shalford, co. Essex, England.¹ He was buried on 17 June 1617, Messing.^2,3
     

     Robert White of Messing, yeoman, died in 1617. He was a rich man. He seems to have lived in Shalford in Essex most of the time from June 1585 until a few months before his death. The baptisms of nearly all his children are there recorded, and also the marriage of his daughters, Mary and Elizabeth. It was the home of his wife, where she was baptized in 1562, and where her father, William Allgar the elder, was buried in 1575.
     His bequest of 40 shillings to "Mr. Richard Rogers, preacher of God's word at Withersfield in Essex," renders it probable that he was friendly to non-conformists, and that he had often listened to this awakening preacher. His bequest of 40 shillings to the poor of Messing, while ignoring Shalford, where he lived for many years, creates the suspicion that perhaps Messing was his birthplace. ⁴
     At least four of Robert Whites children would emigrate to New England. Through them Robert White and Bridget Allgar left a notable line of New England descendants through John Porter and Joseph Loomis of Windsor, and William Goodwin and John White of Hartford. Among some of their descendants we find William Williams, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, at least three presidents, and the Wright Brothers.

     Bridget Allgar was baptized on 11 March 1562 in Shalford, co. Essex, England.¹ She was the daughter of William Allgar. She married, at age 23, Robert White on 24 June 1585 in Shalford, co. Essex.¹

     Daniel White was born. He was the son of Robert White and Bridget Allgar.

     John White was born circa 1601. He was the son of Robert White and Bridget Allgar. He married Mary Levit on 26 December 1622 in Messing, co. Essex, England. He died after 1677 in Hartford, Hartford Co., Conn..

     Nathaniel White was baptized on 30 April 1587 in Shalford, co. Essex, England. He was the son of Robert White and Bridget Allgar. He died in July 1623 in Fering, co. Essex, England, at age 36.

     Sarah White was baptized on 8 March 1586 in Shalford, co. Essex, England. She was the daughter of Robert White and Bridget Allgar. She married James Bowtell , of Salinge before 1614.
